What’s on
this plate?
Goden Tibs is cooked with fresh onions, tomatoes and garlic and served with injera. The supplied restaurant photograph shows browned meat with visible bone ends, onion rings and colourful peppers on a black serving plate. Ask the team about the meat and cut when ordering.

A closer look at each part
- Browned meat
- Across the black serving plateThe main serving is made up of irregular pieces of meat, with dark seared edges and a glossy surface. Tibs means a sautéed meat preparation; the exact meat and cut should be confirmed when you order.
- Pieces on the bone
- Among the larger piecesPale bone ends are visible beneath some of the meat. Separate a manageable bite from the bone before picking it up, and leave the bones on your plate.
- White onion
- Scattered over the meatBroad white onion slices sit over and between the browned pieces. Try a little onion in the same bite as the meat for a lighter, sharper contrast.
- Red onion rings
- Through the centreThe purple-edged rings are red onion. Their firmer texture contrasts with the meat; you can take just a small strip rather than the whole ring in one bite.
- Colourful peppers
- Red, yellow and green strips on topThe pepper pieces add colour and another texture alongside the onion. The photograph cannot tell you the heat of the seasoning, so ask the team which parts to try first if you prefer less chilli.

Start here
Try a small piece of meat with onion first. Let the team know whether you prefer gentle seasoning or more chilli.
Make it your own
