A CLOSER LOOK AT YOUR JOURNEY

The experience.

The Simien Mountains are a UNESCO World Heritage landscape of steep cliffs, deep valleys and highland grassland. Their scale becomes clearer as you walk: a ridge opens into a gorge, and a quiet stretch of trail may bring a wildlife encounter. This itinerary gives you two nights in the mountains, with your pace and camp arrangements agreed before departure.

  • Sankaber camp and escarpment scenery
  • The trail towards Jinbar waterfall
  • Geech highland camp
  • A chance to observe geladas in their habitat

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Good to know.

Is three days enough to climb Ras Dashen?

This itinerary follows the Sankaber–Geech area and does not include a Ras Dashen summit. Ask about a longer trek if reaching the summit is your goal.

How much walking is involved?

Allow roughly five to seven hours for the main day towards Geech. The first and last day depend on road access, your chosen starting point and the final route.

Does the price include all camping equipment?

That needs confirmation. Request an itemised partner quote covering tents, bedding, meals, water and the trekking team before booking.
