01 · MEANING

## What it means.

Ethiopia joins countries around the world in marking International Workers' Day. It is a civic holiday rather than a traditional religious festival.

02 · TRADITION

## How it is marked.

Labour organisations, institutions and communities may hold public messages or events focused on working life and workers' rights. Many people use the holiday for rest and time with family.

03 · EXPERIENCE

## What you may see.

There is no single national ritual. Opening hours and public transport patterns may change, so travellers should confirm practical arrangements locally.
