01 · MEANING

## What it means.

The Feast of Sacrifice remembers Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to obey God. It falls during the Hajj season and connects Ethiopian Muslims with a worldwide act of worship.

## How it is marked.

Communities gather for morning prayer, wear their best clothes and visit relatives. Families able to do so make a sacrifice and divide the meat among their household, neighbours and people who need support.

The celebration is both devotional and social. Guests are welcomed generously, while charity and shared responsibility remain as important as the feast itself.
